SERKET Racing Donates to Veteran Outdoors

July 12th, 2013

SERKET Racing has donated a number of Thin Air Gear bags to Veteran Outdoors (V.O.) to assist them in their mission of honoring our country’s wounded veterans’ sacrifice and patriotism.

Veteran Outdoors is an organization with a goal to raise public awareness about the challenges these wounded warriors face and the therapeutic effects that outdoor recreation has on their mental and physical disabilities. V.O. does this by providing our country’s wounded men and women with hunting, fishing and outdoor related activities absolutely free of cost. Each trip is taped, edited and then showcased on their weekly show on the Sportsman Channel.

“We spend a lot of time on the road, we typically travel with a lot of gear, and are pretty rough on our stuff,” said Cody Hirt, President of Veteran Outdoors. “These Thin Air Gear bags are going to make it a lot easier to keep things organized, and these bags will last a lot longer than others we have used in the past.”

SERKET Racing donated the durable Thin Air Gear bags for veterans to use during these hosted expeditions. SERKET Racing’s driver Mark Llano, a former Marine, is no stranger to Veteran Outdoors. Llano is the president and CEO of Source One Distributors, one of the country’s top providers of mission-critical gear to American soldiers, private industry and law enforcement agencies. Source One has been a supporter of Veteran Outdoors since 2011.

“Cody and the team at Veteran Outdoors do great work to help wounded warriors get back on their feet and we were more than happy to assist them in completing their mission,” Llano said.
