External Operations: SERKET Racing Heads North to Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.

July 17th, 2013

This week driver Mark Llano will lead SERKET Racing north, across the border into Canada for the Mobil 1 SportsCar Grand Prix at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.

The Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, commonly referred to as Mosport, is a 10-turn, 2.459-mile circuit located in Bowmanville, Ontario. The IMSA GT3 Cup Challenge by Yokohama Series drivers will attempt to win rounds seven and eight of their 16-round challenge on the winding road course.

Mosport has hosted Formula 1, IndyCar, The NASCAR Canadian Tire Series and even motocross. The hair pin turns and tough competition have lured racing legends like Gilles Villeneuve, Richard Petty, and Mario Andretti to the track.

Llano and the SERKET Racing team will be driving bravely into uncharted territory as this is the team’s first race at the legendary park.

“I am definitely looking forward to competing in Canada,” Llano said. “Mosport is a new track for me, and I am excited for the challenge and motivated to build off the momentum from Watkins Glen and run a great race this weekend for the fans!”

Llano and his SERKET Racing Porsche GT3 Cup 911 first take to the track Thursday, July 18 for testing. Practice and qualification for the race weekend are on Friday, July 19. Race One on Saturday, July 20 begins at 1:20 p.m. EST. For a more detailed schedule of events visit the IMSA GT3 Cup Challenge by Yokohama Series website.
