KOTA Longboards Joins SERKET Racing Mission
July 18th, 2013
SERKET Racing is proud to announce a sponsorship agreement with KOTA Longboards.
Founded in 2012 by former Navy F-14 pilot, Mike Maloney, KOTA Longboards is a manufacturer of American made, hand crafted longboard skateboards in Denver, Colorado. The KOTA longboards line of high performance, carving longboards feature a variety of military aviation, vintage surf and race car styles.
KOTA stands for ‘Knights of the Air’, a term coined during WWI to describe fighter pilots who lived by a code of honor and esprit de corps. Much like SERKET Racing, KOTA dedicates a portion of their profits to veterans charities and participate in campaigns all over the country to raise awareness for veterans’ issues.
“KOTA’s culture is built upon a foundation of supporting veterans, which is why SERKET Racing is the perfect fit,” commented Maloney. “Both SERKET and KOTA are dedicated to championing veteran causes so that these heroes and their sacrifices are never forgotten.”
SERKET Racing and KOTA will release a special limited edition SERKET Racing Nieuport 17 longboard on August 1st – a percentage of the profits will be donated to various charities who support veterans and their families. The collector’s edition long board will be available on the web at both SERKET Racing and KOTA’s website.
“We are very excited to be working with KOTA,” said SERKET Racing driver Mark Llano. “We welcome them to the SERKET Racing team and look forward having them on board to help us continue our mission of raising funds and awareness for veterans and their families.”
