SERKET Racing Donates Hertz Vouchers to Operation Homefront
August 23rd, 2013
SERKET Racing has donated seven Hertz car rental vouchers for Operation Homefront to give to service members and their families in need of transportation.
The seven vouchers are estimated at a cost of $1,700 per voucher. They cover the cost of renting a midsize vehicle for three days. The vouchers will be given to families selected to receive homes donated to them from SERKET Racing impart with Operation Homefront and Wells Fargo. The free transportation will be used to insure families are able to arrive at the key ceremony.
Operation Homefront works to provide emergency assistance and financial aid to the families of our service members and wounded warriors. This includes needed housing to those who would otherwise be unable to afford it. Operation Homefront has also partnered with SERKET Racing to support their mission of providing aid and awareness to military and veteran families.
“I believe that Mark Llano’s fame as a businessman and entrepreneur needs no addressing,” said Operation Homefront project manager, Rob Boeving. “I consider myself fortunate to be able to work with someone of such outstanding character and integrity.”
As an official sponsor of the IMSA GT3 Cup Challenge by Yokohama Series, Hertz was a perfect pairing for SERKET Racing’s mission.
A car rental, car sales and equipment rental establishment, Hertz has a goal to help military personnel celebrate their homecoming. The donation of the seven vouchers was done through their Hertz for Heroes program. Hertz for Heroes, a project initiated by Hertz employees with military backgrounds, was formerly launched in 2011 when the company donated 40,000 free weekend rentals to vets returning home from overseas. Hertz for Heroes was expanded later on when the Company joined the White House’s Veteran’s Hiring Initiative, Joining Forces, led by the First Lady and Dr. Jill Biden
“We would like to extend a special thank you to Operation Homefront and Hertz for being a part of the SERKET Racing mission,” said SERKET Racing driver and former Marine Mark Llano. “To assist those who have served and sacrificed for our country is truly honorable.”
SERKET Racing is proud to bond the individual goals of Operation Homefront and Hertz to support our troops through the SERKET Racing mission.
