September 12th, 2013
SERKET Racing continues it’s mission to give back to the military and veteran community and recently donated 500 dollars to the Operation Ward 57 charity. Operation WARD 57 is a charitable organization founded to support wounded warriors, their families and medical staff at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. The organization provides items that assist in recovery, maintenance and morale of the hospital environment and through advocacy, education and promotion of their circumstances.”Being a former Marine, Operation Ward 57′s cause is very dear to me,” said SERKET Racing Driver, Mark Llano. “We had the opportunity to work with great people at Walter Reed during the Source One Band of Brothers visit a few years ago and we are honored to have the opportunity to continue to support them for such a wonderful cause.”SERKET Racing’s donation will go toward providing arriving inpatient wounded service members with Warriors Welcome Kits. These kits supply the returning warfighters with blankets, beanies, shirts, pocket toolkits and other special extras like a magnetic pocket flashlight. Donations like SERKET Racing provide the organization with the means to continue to help others.
