SERKET Racing Continues to Support American Freedom Foundation

February 24th, 2014

SERKET Racing is proud to announce a $2,500 donation to the American Freedom Foundation to support its efforts in helping veterans, active duty military and their families.
In return for their service and sacrifices made for our country, the American Freedom Foundation believes veterans, military service members, and their families are deserving of support that empowers and enables them to lead confident and productive lives. American Freedom Foundation serves and supports them by building awareness and understanding of their service, sacrifice and needs through partnerships with military focused organizations and always will be relentlessly driven to bettering the lives of these heroes and their families. Throughout its short history, the American Freedom Foundation has made contributions in excess of $1.1 million to more than 30 beneficiary partners and awarded scholarships valued at approximately $4 million to military spouses and their dependents through the AFF/Kaplan University scholarship program. Through the American Freedom Foundation national veterans employment initiative program, Warriors To The Workforce, thousands of veterans have been connected to hundreds of participating companies for civilian employment opportunities.

“We can’t thank Mark Llano and Serket Racing enough for their support,” said the 12th Sergeant Major of the Army (R ), Jack L. Tilley. “Mark Llano is first and foremost a former Marine but also a great American. He has a big heart and is out there helping as many veterans as he can.”

” SERKET Racing is part of our team. When we give away a scholarship or help find a veteran employment, SERKET Racing is right there with us every step of the way. The goal is always to help us help our veterans. One person doesn’t get a lot done but 100 can.”
One of the many projects that SERKET Racing’s donation will support is the American Freedom Foundation scholarship program for veterans. The foundation, paired with Kaplan University, will provide veterans’ spouses and dependents with full and 60 percent partial scholarships to cover tuition costs.

“The American Freedom Foundation has been part of the SERKET Racing team for some time now and we are honored to be able to help support a program that provides military family members with the opportunity for academic success,” SERKET Racing driver and owner Mark Llano said. “It aligns perfectly with our mission of raising funds and awareness for military veterans and their families.”
