April 26th, 2014

WELLINGTON, Fla. (April 25, 2014) – SERKET Racing is proud to announce a partnership with Cabot Guns that will enable both organizations to increase their efforts in raising awareness and support for U.S. military veterans and their families.

Besides manufacturing type 1911 pistols that carry the highest standards of pistol accuracy in the United States, Cabot Guns is also a top-notch NRA pistol shooting team that has won the World Series of American Pistol Shooting two years in a row.

When SERKET driver Mark Llano learned Team Cabot was comprised of former U.S. Marines Brian “Gunny” Zins, Shane Clevenger and William Bethards, he didn’t hesitate to lend his support to their mission.

“Having chewed the same dirt as these guys and knowing the work that Cabot Guns has done in the veteran community, it was a very easy decision for us to support their cause because warriors live by a code: We take care of our own,” Llano said. “We are extremely pleased to have Cabot Guns on the team and look forward to working with them to continue to support our best and bravest in their efforts both at home and abroad.”

Zins, the undisputed greatest pistol marksman in the history of the sport, and Bethards, currently an FBI law enforcement specialist, both have appeared on History Channel’s reality TV show “Top Shot.”

“Cabot Guns is honored to have Mark Llano’s SERKET Racing as a sponsor for Team Cabot in our quest for our third consecutive NRA National Pistol Championship,” Cabot President Robert Bianchin said. “SERKET Racing and Cabot Guns both share a passion for excellence, duty to country and for community service.”

SERKET Racing next competes in the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge USA by Yokohama series May 2-4 at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.
