SERKET, Llano Prepared for New Challenge at Lime Rock Park
May 22nd, 2014
This will be the first race for SERKET driver Mark Llano at Lime Rock Park, but it won’t be his first time on the seven-turn, 1.5-mile track.
“Since it is a new racetrack for our team, we trained at Skip Barber Racing School for a day to give us some insight into the course,” Llano said. “I’m happy to say we’re ready to go.”Llano is looking to fight his way to the podium after a career-best sixth place finish earlier this month at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.
“We were very encouraged by our progress at Laguna Seca, and we’re looking forward to building on that momentum at Lime Rock Park,” Llano said. “We also hope to see our veterans out at the racetrack this Memorial Day weekend.”
Lime Rock Park is offering free admission to any military or veteran personnel carrying their military identification, and their family. The No. 24 Multicam®-wrapped Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car will be available for photos under the tent with NGT Motorsport. All service members, veterans and their families are welcome to stop by for photo and autograph opportunities throughout the race weekend.
Practice at Lime Rock Park starts at 10 a.m. (ET) and 1:20 p.m. Friday, May 23, with qualifying at 4:05 p.m. Friday. Two 45-minute races are scheduled for Saturday, May 24, with the first at 12:35 p.m. and the second at 5:10 p.m.
