WELLINGTON, Fla. (July 9, 2014) – SERKET Racing will look to bounce back in the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge USA by Yokohama July 11-13 at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in Bowmanville, Ontario.

The team is coming off a rough race weekend for Rounds 7 and 8 of the series June 27-28 at Watkins Glen International. Mechanical issues and on-track incidents caused significant damage to the No. 24 Porsche, forcing the team to use the backup car for both rounds at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, or Mosport, as it is commonly called.

“We had a tough run at Watkins Glen,” SERKET Racing driver Mark Llano said. “And even though we’re in the spare car, we’re looking forward to getting back on the track and running a clean, competitive race at Mosport.”

The 2.459-mile, 10-turn road course is known as Canada’s Crown Jewel circuit and will be the first and only international destination for SERKET Racing this season. The weekend will be Llano’s second event at CTMP after recording a 21st- and 16th-place finish last season.

The weekend will start with two 40-minute practice sessions Thursday, July 10. Qualifying for the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge USA by Yokohama will begin at 10:35 a.m. Friday, July 11 with Round 9 following at 5:40 p.m. (local time). The second 45-minute sprint race will begin at 10:10 a.m. Saturday, July 12. Both races will be broadcast live on FansChoice.TV.
