COMPLETING THE FINAL RACE THIS WEEKEND, SERKET RACING CROSSES THE FINISH LINE ON THE MOST SUCCESSFUL SEASON TO DATE

Serket Racing finished an impressive 2015 season in the Porsche GT3 Cup USA Challenge by Yokohama with its most successful finish yet! Closing out the series on Sunday at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, Serket Racing completed its most successful year both on and off the track, racing to the top of the IMSA Porsche GT3 Gold Cup standings and bettering the lives of veterans nationwide.

Going into the final race weekend at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, the team was ready to race with a perfected strategy and amazing precision. Serket driver, Mark Llano navigated the first race on Saturday at the difficult 11-turn Laguna Seca track skillfully and took a 2nd place podium finish. Following race 1, Llano drove in the second race on Sunday with incredible accuracy, taking another 2nd place podium finish for the weekend! With these two podium positions, Serket Racing was announced 1st Runner Up Champions for the 2015 IMSA series of the GT3 Cup USA Gold division. Llano said, “This has been an unbelievable year for us and I am so proud of the success we have experienced. We trained hard and continued to work through adversity and ultimately prevailed. I am ecstatic with the results of our 2015 season on the track and can’t wait to do it all again next year.”

Not only has Serket Racing closed an impressive race season,–their most successful ever–the team has also made incredible progress in furthering its mission to support U.S. service members and veterans. This year in particular, the team has worked with top veteran partners to provide life changing assistance and experiences. Llano said, “Through scholarship opportunities, physical and mental health programs, and events that raise awareness of the struggles these individuals face, we have been able to really change the lives of veterans and their families nationwide and will continue to do so in the coming months and in 2016.”

The Serket Racing team is ready to conclude this year with some exciting new initiatives to further their mission as they prepare for the 2016 race season. The remainder of 2015 will consist of preliminary race training and working with the team’s veteran partner organizations to provide additional life changing opportunities and support for veterans!
